The FCF Minerals Corporation conducted a basic first aid and life support training for youth leaders in line with the company’s social responsibility advocacy to empower various sectors of their host barangay and its neighboring villages.
In partnership with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management (MDRRM) Office, 20 members of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) from 32 barangays in Nueva Vizcaya attended the First Aid and Basic Life Support Training last week.
“This is part of our numerous assistance to our primary and secondary impact communities as we empower them to become responsible villagers,” FCF Minerals Corporation Manager for Sustainability Ian Moller was quoted saying in a ManilaStandard report.
MDRRM Officer Engr. Alison Padua disclosed that the mining firm has also been providing their office a yearly assistance of P20,000 since 2014.
According to the report, the monetary assistance was used to purchase 35 pieces of First Aid Kit bags for their disaster risk reduction management and response volunteers and will be further used to provide the trainees with the same tools to equip them for their assistance.
