The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) in coordination with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) has distributed geo-hazard maps and posters during the service caravan titled “Serbisyo sa Negrosanon” in Isabela, Negros Occidental.
The “Serbisyo sa Negrosanon” is part of the region’s efforts to launch the government’s Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) in Western Visayas, which aims to end local communist armed conflict through the Whole-of-Nation approach.
DENR-6 Regional Executive Director Francisco E. Milla, Jr. read Secretary Roy A. Cimatu’s message stressing that DENR will support efforts in achieving peace and development in rural areas through the implementation of environmental programs.
Meanwhile, other government agencies also participated in the caravan through medical and dental services, distribution of food packs, rice, palay and tree seedlings, legal services, and distribution of information materials to more or less 1,200 beneficiaries.
