Apex Mining Co., Inc. (APX) has been included in Forbes Asia’s 2026 Best Under a Billion list for the second consecutive year.
The annual list recognizes 200 publicly listed small and mid-sized companies across the Asia-Pacific region with annual sales ranging from USD 10 million to USD 1 billion.
Apex Mining said its repeat inclusion reflected the company’s financial performance and sustained growth amid a challenging global business environment.
The company also said it was the only mining firm among the seven Philippine-listed companies included in the 2026 roster.
Apex Mining added that the distinction reinforced its position as one of the Philippines’ leading gold producers and reflected the contributions of its employees, business partners, host communities, and other stakeholders.
The publicly listed mining company operates the Maco Gold Mine in Maco, Davao de Oro.
Its wholly owned subsidiary, Itogon-Suyoc Resources, operates the Sangilo Mine in Itogon, Benguet, while Monte Oro Resources, Inc. holds Apex Mining’s other business interests in the Philippines and abroad.
Another subsidiary, Asia-Alliance Mining Resources Corporation, is currently in the permitting and development phase.
Can Apex Mining sustain the financial and operational performance needed to remain among Forbes Asia’s leading small and mid-sized listed companies in the coming years?
