APEX Mining Corp. signed a two-year renewal agreement of its power supply contract with Gotianun Group’s FDC Misamis Power Corp. for the mining company’s processing plant situated in Masara, Maco, Compostela Valley.
In the said contract, APEX Mining will receive four megawatts (MW) of power supply provided by FDC Misamis which can be increased in capacity if deemed necessary.
APEX Mining president and CEO Dr. Walter W. Brown and FDC Misamis president and CEO Juan Eugenio Roxas inked the agreement on behalf of their respective companies.
APEX Mining’s Senior Vice President and COO Engr. Luis R. Sarmiento, Senior Vice President for Corporate Operations Mr. Gil A. Marvilla and Technical Adviser to the President Mr. Paul B. Juat, and FDC Misamis’ Treasurer and CFO Mr. Daniel L. Ang Tan Chai were also present during the signing and acted as witnesses.
FDC Misamis has been the sole power supplier for APEX Mining since they started their mining operations in 2016. The first arrangement of a two-year 3-MW power stream agreement ended in December 2018.
Brown expressed his satisfaction with the services of the power supplier and his interest in having more partnership with FDC Misamis in the future.
