Taganito Mining Corporation (TMC) has paid more than Php 63.5 million in taxes and regulatory fees to the municipal government of Claver, Surigao del Norte, earning recognition from the local government as one of its active development partners.
In an article published by the Philippine News Agency, Claver Mayor Georgia Gokiangkee said the payment is part of the 2025 business transactions, and includes the Local Business Tax and other regulatory fees.
The collected funds will be allocated to critical areas such as education, health, agriculture, and infrastructure programs in Claver for the year.
A portion of the payment will also benefit social services programs aimed at senior citizens, individuals with disabilities, and other marginalized groups.
Gokiangkee lauded TMC for being an active development partner of Claver, adding these payments reflect TMC’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and their support for the LGU’s development initiatives.
