The local government of Maco, Compostela Valley is eyeing to expand its infirmary clinic to a 30-bed capacity hospital after Apex Mining Co., Inc. allocated P9-M for the construction of the infrastructure.
According to a BusinessMirror report, Compostela Valley Mayor Alvera Veronica R. Rimando stated that they are now waiting for the necessary documents from the Department of Health (DOH) to start construction next week.
“By next year, we can provide more services and cater to more people in need of medical attention,” she was quoted as saying in the report.
Apart from being one of the lying-in clinics in the town, people from 16 barangays in Maco will also be the direct and immediate beneficiaries of the clinic.
Rimando was hopeful that once construction has finished, the infirmary will be receiving in patients.
The upgraded clinic will be managed jointly by the LGU of Maco and Apex Mining Co., Inc
