FCF Minerals Corp. has secured its fourth consecutive Presidential Mineral Industry Environmental Award (PMIEA) under the Surface Mining Operation Category, reaffirming its standing as one of the country’s consistent leaders in responsible mining. The award was conferred on November 21, 2025, during the Awards Night and Testimonial Dinner at the CAP John Hay Trade and Cultural Center in Baguio City.
The recognition highlights FCF’s achievements in environmental management, health and safety, and community programs at the Runruno Gold-Molybdenum Project in Nueva Vizcaya. Operations general manager Lorne Harvey and legal and compliance manager Atty. Rowena Marcos received the award on behalf of the company.
“These awards are a testament to their tireless dedication to excellence,” Harvey said, extending appreciation to the people of Barangay Runruno, the Mines and Geosciences Bureau Region 2, and all employees of FCF Minerals.
FCF’s strong safety performance also earned individual honors, with Safety Officer Joshua D. Ambojnon named Best Safety Inspector – Plant Category, reflecting what the company described as its deep commitment to worker well-being.
Outstanding achievements at the ASEAN level were likewise recognized. At the 4th ASEAN Minerals Awards held in Vientiane, Laos, FCF Minerals was declared 1st Runner-Up in Best Practices in Minerals Processing – Metallic Category, with the award received by senior metallurgist Engr. Abigail Arcega alongside Harvey.
Harvey emphasized that these recognitions strengthen the company’s drive for responsible mining. “We couldn’t do it without the support of our community, local leaders and our dedicated staff. Together, we’re making a positive and lasting impact,” he said.
The company also demonstrated excellence across emergency response and public engagement, earning second place in the First Aid Competition and performing strongly in the Fire Brigade Competition, Fire Extinguishment Event, and Tug of Peace Challenge. FCF Minerals additionally received the Best Booth Award at the three-day mining exhibit.
A subsidiary of London-based Metals Exploration, FCF Minerals operates the Runruno mine under a Financial and Technical Assistance Agreement with the government. With commercial operations beginning in 2017 and local endorsements dating to 2011, the company reiterated its commitment to delivering long-term benefits and a sustainable legacy to its host communities.
