Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) President Alfredo S. Panlilio has been elected as an independent director of listed holding firm Marcventures Holdings, Inc., the parent company of several mining companies including Marcventures Mining and Development Corp.
Panlilio’s appointment was announced by the company in a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange on Monday, following the company’s annual stockholders’ meeting held on July 25.
Panlilio, a veteran executive in the corporate sector, was also recently named an independent director of Vivant Corp., another publicly listed conglomerate.
Marcventures Holdings operates as a holding company with several subsidiaries involved in the mining industry. These include Marcventures Mining and Development Corp., which holds a Mineral Production Sharing Agreement (MPSA) in Cantilan, Surigao del Sur, BrightGreen Resources Corp., Alumina Mining Philippines, Inc., and Bauxite Resources, Inc.
