The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Region 1 (MGB-1) started a donation drive on April 14 for the procurement of personal protective equipment (PPE) for health workers.
MGB-1 received a total of P122,000 as donations which will be used to buy the PPEs and to be distributed in identified hospitals in La Union.
On April 20, around 65 PPEs were given to Lorma Medical Center in San Fernando City through ER Representative Dr. Khristsine Anne Rillera Laygo.
Another 100 PPEs are scheduled to be handed out to Caba District Hospital.
The donation was led by Regional Director Carlos A. Tayag, with employees of MGB-1.
Tayag thanked employees of MGB-1 for their generosity and initiatives to help the nation and overcome the crisis.
