Nickel Asia Corporation (NAC) has earned its first ANVIL Award, securing a Silver Anvil at the 61st ANVIL Awards Gabi ng Parangal for its 2024 Integrated Report, an industry recognition that places a spotlight on sustainability communication in the Philippine mining sector.
The award, given under the PR Programs (Sustainability Communication) category, was conferred during ceremonies held at Solaire Resort North on January 28, 2026. Organized by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), the ANVIL Awards are regarded as the country’s highest recognition in public relations.
NAC’s 2024 Integrated Report is anchored on the theme “Transformative Actions” and details how the company has formally integrated environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into its core operations since 2021.
According to the company, the report shows how sustainability considerations are embedded in business strategy, risk management, and long-term value creation, while highlighting the role of employees, partners, and host communities in driving performance.
“For this year ’s Integrated Report , we put the spotlight on transformative actions by the people whose shoulders the company stands on – our leaders, our technical experts, our community leaders, our partners. Transformative actions go beyond routine or incremental efforts: these are catalysts for profound and lasting change; a means to shift perspectives, systems, and even environments; it is about creating a meaningful and lasting impact,” the company said in its report.
The integrated report aligns with both local and international reporting frameworks and combines detailed disclosures with visual storytelling to communicate NAC’s approach to transparency, responsible governance, and sustainable growth—areas of increasing scrutiny for mining companies operating in the Philippines.
“This recognition affirms our commitment to putting people first and creating long-term value through transparent and responsible practices,” said Jose Bayani D. Baylon, NAC Senior Vice President for Sustainability, Risk, External Affairs and Communications. “For us, sustainability should be in equal footing with financial performance. Both are pillars of our business operations.”
