Semirara Mining and Power Corporation (SMPC) has approved a special cash dividend of PHP1.25 per outstanding common share, following the decision of its Board of Directors on October 20, 2025.
Shareholders of record as of November 4, 2025 will be entitled to receive the dividend, with an ex-dividend date of November 3 and payment scheduled for November 20.
Earlier this year in April, the company distributed PHP8.50 billion in regular and special dividends, or PHP2.00 per share. With this new declaration, SMPC’s total dividend payout for 2025 will reach PHP13.8 billion, equivalent to PHP3.25 per share. The amount represents 70 percent of the company’s 2024 net income of PHP19.6 billion, which is significantly higher than its dividend policy of paying out at least 20 percent of the previous year’s earnings.
At its October 20 closing price of PHP34.00, SMPC’s total dividends translate to a 10 percent cash yield for the year.
“This dividend reflects our commitment to give back to our shareholders whenever our performance allows,” said Maria Cristina C. Gotianun, SMPC President, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Sustainability Officer.
