Semirara Mining and Power Corporation (SMPC) received an Award of Merit at the 21st Philippine Quill Awards for its 2024 Corporate Website Redesign initiative.
The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines presented the award under the Digital Communication/Communication for the Web Category.
SMPC’s corporate website was refreshed and revamped in 2024 to improve accessibility and ease of navigation. Aside from catering to regulators and stockholders, the site was redesigned so that even casual visitors can easily find information on official news, sustainability efforts, disclosures, history, and activities.

The Philippine Quill Awards is considered one of the country’s most prestigious programs, recognizing organizations and professionals that excel in using communication tools and campaigns to achieve business objectives and positively impact communities.
This year’s winners were selected from entries spanning 2023 to 2024, with awardees from top conglomerates, advertising agencies, and university students. The awarding ceremony was held at the Manila Hotel Fiesta Pavilion on August 27.
